Ontario's property inventory grew in 2025, with MPAC assessing over 5.7 million properties valued at more than $3.2 trillion. New assessments added $41 billion, mainly from residential ($30 billion) and commercial/industrial ($6 billion) properties, boosting municipal tax revenue. Key growth occurred in Toronto, Ottawa, Mississauga, Vaughan, and Oakville, accounting for nearly 60% of new assessment. Assessments remain based on the 2016 valuation date for 2026.
